Orthodox icon: Martyrdom of St. Martyr Varvara, by being pulled on a wheel. The scene of the martyrdom unfolds in two distinct parts, framed in a rectangle. In the first section we have the scene in which the martyr is martyred by being pulled on a wheel by two soldiers, dressed in medieval clothes, and in the second the bloody martyr is standing, held by the same two executioners. The painting is naive, authentic in tempera colors, painted in oil directly on the surface of the wood. Specific to Moldavian art from the 19th century.
